Experiences of parents of first graders in Czech republic perceive educational process of reading and writing during COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

The present study describes the experience of parents with distance learning reading and writing in the first grades of primary schools at the time of closing schools in the Czech Republic in the school year 2020/2021. The aim of the survey was to describe the effects of distance learning on the development of initial literacy, the differences between day-to-day and online teaching; problems, challenges, pros and cons that the distance learning period brought.
