Abstract
The present paper analyses the development of invalidity in people living with HIV over a nine-year period from 2010 to 2018. The disability assessment criteria currently in place were introduced in 2010 and are legally regulated.
The paper draws from the Czech Social Security Administration data to analyse the incidence of invalidity as a result of HIV infection compared to other diseases in the Czech population. The authors illustrate the invalidity assessment criteria with a case study.
In the 4nal part, updating the current assessment criteria is recommended, also because of the envisaged ICD-11 implementation in the Czech Republic.
