The Dead and Souls in Early Modern Bohemia - Historical Context and Terminology

Abstract

The paper deals with the issue of death and the afterlife of souls in early modern Bohemia and specializes in the so-called revenants, i.e., the returned dead and their perception, which can be observed in the images). However, special emphasis is placed on the terminology occurring in the historical sources.
