Abstract
The article focuses on pain in adult and older persons with mental disability. It describes the concept of mental disability in context of legislative standards and available literature, classifications and strategic documents of the World Health Organization.
It provides and overview of current knowledge about pain in adults and older persons with mental disability, available diagnostic tools and therapeutic approaches.
