Abstract
The study deals with the first half of the 13th century's Přemyslid Bohemia which saw the Benešovici noble house coming to prominence within the power framework of the state. Individual family members are examined with regards to their assignments in royal and ecclesiastical service.The first two generations of the Benešovici were instrumental in forming the base for future improvement of both family demesne and its members' individual careers.
