Abstract

The topic of this text is the perception of Russia in ethnic and state-political senses by the Czech and Croatian cultural elites in the first half of the 19th century, a comparison of the image of the Russians and the Russian state in the texts of the key representatives of the national revival of this period. It was decided to narrow the time frame precisely by the formative stage of cultural and later political programs of the 30-40s of the 19th century.
