The conference was dedicated to the question of artistic mobility in the context of the author's research on the subject of reception and appropriation of French Early Modern architecture in the Czech lands and more widely in Central European context. The author took the example of four Czech architects who were present in France for different reasons, including the pursuit of formal studies, professional training in private studios, professional activity or study stays.

These four case studies, focused on representatives of Czech architectural scene - Gustav Schoranz, Eduard Sochor, Josef Schulz and Jan Alfons Šimáček - have allowed the author to question the different experiences taken by architects in the French cultural environment as well as the typology of short or long-term stays in France.
