Levinas'dual account of Nature's beauty

Abstract

In his books, Emmanuel Levinas mostly considered two phenomena of nature, and of beauty, separately. My aim is to demonstrate which links between both phenomena can be found in Levinas'works and to claim that we can explore the significations of Nature'beauty thanks to Levinas works.

With regards to Levinas proclamations about beaty of art, I assert Levinas'holds two contradictory perspectives on beautiful in nature or art: either our aesthetic experience is radically irresponsible or it is rather connected with ethics par excellence.
