Abstract

Among other things, the Old Testament is one of the oldest travelogues of human history, which not only describes the adventures of the then travelers, but also, in particular, reveals the deeper meaning of travel, revealing the very essence of wandering. It is on the roads that the pilgrims of the Old Testament meet the Lord, on the roads they experience its proximity, on the roads they receive the plates of the law, unearth the meaning of human existence, and on the road.

In the Old Testament in some sense, knowing ourselves, seeing our mission, finding God, human realization, and salvation of man are tied to the path. The Old Testament books carry a number of fundamental messages for man and have many levels of meaning; they speak of who man is in relation to God; they answer the deepest questions of humanity and, among other things, reveal where one is closest to God: in short - on the road.
