Abstract
The article deals with the possibility of using a consensual and amicable resolution of disputes in public administration. It is possible to find a considerable number of such institutes in the contemporary legal system.
They represent an alternative to the power procedures of public authorities, or they prepare and supplement them. In the article, these institutes are differentiated according to whether the disputes arise between subjects of public administration, or executors of public administration, between administrative bodies and addressees of public administration, persons concerned and participants in proceedings, as well as between addressees.
Not only the assets but also the limits of their practical use are mentioned.
