Party Costs in Arbitration Proceedings

Publication at Faculty of Law |
2021

Abstract

The contribution is devoted to the costs of the parties related to the arbitration proceedings, in this context, the difference between the determination and reimbursement of costs in ad hoc arbitration and in institutional arbitration. These are the parties' own expenses and the expenses of the arbitrator.

From this point of view, arbitration proceedings before permanent arbitral tribunals are more appropriate, where the fees for the actual hearing of the dispute and the arbitrators' fees are given in advance in their fee schedules.
