The paper presents the pilot study results focused on the relationship between self-assessment of the English level and the result of the English test (with multiple choice questions). It also deals with the random selection of the correct answer issue.
The study used an online questionnaire that recorded the respondent's response times. The results show a moderate relationship of self--assessment and test results.
They show that it is possible to identify differences in response times between respondents with different levels of English skills.
