Abstract
PARALYMPIC GAMES HISTORY In the article, the authors present the history of the most important sports competition for people with disabilities: the Paralympic Games. They describe the circumstances of the creation of games after the Second World War in 1948 in Stoke Mandeville, Great Britain, on which the greatest credit went to the doctor Ludwig Guttmann.
The development of the Paralympic Games (PH) is described chronologically from the beginning to the present, and the most important historical milestones are mentioned.
