The Importance of Phraseology in the Formation of Pupils' Communication Competence and its Use in Contemporary Learning Sets for Teaching Russian Language

Abstract

The paper explains the importance of phraseology in learning foreign languages in the context of forming the communication competence of pupils at primary and secondary schools with a focus on teaching Russian in the Czech environment. The paper presents the results of a content analysis of the current learning sets for teaching Russian.

Its aim was finding out the frequency, functions and ways of using phraseological units in these sets.
