Abstract
The expert workshop on Safety for Practical Chemistry Teaching in Schools was held at the Faculty of Education, Charles University on 5 November 2021 as a separate session of the 19th International Conference on Project-Based and Other Activating Strategies and Issues of Science Education. The program of the workshop included five papers presenting the objectives, progress, and outcomes of the BEDOX project, safety issues for children when conducting chemical experiments at school and during extracurricular activities, methodologies for conducting chemical experiments in school practice including examples from the e-Bedox database, and the role of video experiments as a support for experimental activities in chemistry teaching at primary and secondary schools.
