Abstract

The monograph deals with the issue of comprehensive rehabilitation of people in senior age with regard to cognitive deficits caused by the aging process and the development of pathological changes, especially in Alzheimer's disease. The book analyzes the key starting points, which include dementia, the aging process, old age and the personality of the senior and his current position in society.

The author's team focused on the influence of medical, psychological, sociological, educational and occupational therapy factors on the course of aging, care and quality of life of people. Emphasis is placed on the development of approaches to the support and development of cognitive functions of seniors and the use of alternative elements in therapy and rehabilitation.

The text is supplemented by the results of several research studies in which the authors of the publication participated.
