Abstract

Among pediatric patients, the diagnosis of swallowing a foreign body is very common. In a minority of these cases, magnetic objects are swallowed.

If more than one magnet is swallowed at a time, they can cause serious complications in the digestive tract. In this article, we present two case reports and discuss the possible complications, diagnostic approaches and treatment of these patients according to current evidence-based medicine.
