Abstract
Demographic view of the COVID-19 pandemic: Different impacts by age. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many new aspects and topics to scientific research.
This article focuses on the demographic perspective of the pandemic, and it maps mainly the differences by age. Age is a crucial factor in this regard, as the risk of serious complications or even death increases with age.
The pandemic waves also significantly affected the population of children and adolescents. In this respect, development during the specific school year 2020/21 are presented.
