Abstract
The aim of the conference / workshop with the participation of experts from a number of Czech universities was to reflect on the scientific profile of sociology of education and its changes, reflect on the relationship between sociology of education other educational sciences, analyze key problem areas within the contemporary sociology of education, forecast the future possible development of this field and renew interest in this once so important field of pedagogy.
