The study shows the significance that marriages of the daughters of Czech rulers in the Přemyslide period had for the political objectives of their fathers. It is clear from an analysis of established facts on the marriages of Přemyslids and their partners that the marriages of ruler's daughters, like those of sons, were subject to the political ambitions of the father as ruler.

They chose life partners for their daughters in line with the political situation and their political plans.
