Abstract

Based on a questionnaire survey of potential migrants to Czechia or other countries of European Union (carried out in four Ukrainian cities and regions - Dnipro, Kijiv, Lvov and Zakharpatian region - its urban and rural part with 1,004 respondents) a more detailed composition of the potential is characterized. More specifically, analysis concerns an educational structure, employment/profession, working experience, migration motivation, prefered length of stay, but also considered working position on a labour market of the destination country etc.

Through the Classification Tree analysis a conditionality related to selection of the destination country is explained - Czechia versus other countries of European Union. The article also contributes to practice when developing knowledge in a sphere of migration and integration policies and practices.
