Abstract

Neuropsychological Assessment Battery (NAB) is a complex battery assessing cognitive functions. Its psychometric characteristics have been confirmed.

The aim of the study is to introduce the Czech version of NAB and to verify its psychometric characteristics. NAB was administered to 116 healthy volunteers, some of them (N = 40) were tested by the Czech version of Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS) in order to verify the criterion validity.

The Czech and the American sample differ in 34 out of the 51 T-scores (p < 0,05), which can be due to the differences in demographic characteristics. The correlations between the corresponding scores of the NAB main module and the NAB Screening module range from r = 0,3 to r = 0,8 (p < 0,05).

The comparison of NAB and RBANS generates similar correlations as the original version of NAB which confirms its criterion validity. According to the present results, the local version demonstrates good psychometric characteristics.
