COVID-19 pandemic and international migration

Abstract

The article provides an overview of impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on migration and the processes that are related to migration, such are migrants' employment and their importance for the economy, remittances, and anti-immigrant sentiments that tend to appear in the times of crises. The article also outlines world inequalities (in terms of economy, employment possibilities, and availability of health care) that influence migration flows and migration policies.
