Abstract
Through a comprehensive set of interdisciplinary articles, the publication documents the innovations that the so-called digital turn brings to the work of Czech social science and humanities researchers. The development of digital technologies not only transforms society and culture, but also changes the scientific fields that deal with these areas of human coexistence.
Part of the studies deals with new digital phenomena and their impact on the range of problems that the social sciences and humanities have to deal with. The empirically tuned chapters then follow a unified line of interpretation, in which they first present the readers with phenomena defined in a traditional field perspective and then illustrate the application of digital procedures, with the help of which the researched area can be grasped through computer analysis.
