Extensive radiation-induced atherosclerosis of the ascending aorta, pericardial and valvular calcifications in young adult survivor of childhood Hodgkin lymphoma

Abstrakt

We would like to draw attention to the benefit of thoracic X-ray in long-term survivor of childhood Hodgkin lymphoma. It could reveal life-threatening cardiovascular complications until then undetected despite periodic cardiac counseling, including echocardiography and assessment of conventional cardiovascular risk factors.
