Abstract
The paper presents the typology of relevant archival material stored in the Archive of Charles University and dealing with the reconstruction of Czech higher education. The text also shows the spectre of comparative topics from the moment of opening of Czechoslovakia to the West in 1989 up to the reestablishing of the academic autonomy bodies.
