The case report describes the issue of ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone) - dependent ectopic hypercortisolism in a 39-year-old man with neuroendocrine thymic tumor. Diagnosis is based on clinical manifestations of the disease and includes both important laboratory tests focused on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and imaging methods using modern techniques of positron emission tomography with fluorodeoxyglucose and gallium.
It describes a multimodal therapeutic approach with the participation of endocrinologists and oncologists.
