Abstract

Managerial decision-making affects the entire organization, whether it is strategic or operational decision-making. Some manager's decisions can be purely intuitive, yet it is clear that qualified decision-making includes the ability to search for and analyze quality data.

Data quality is one of the most important factors for making the right decisions. According to Miniberger (2009), data quality is determined by four dimensions: accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness.

If the data meets all these conditions, it can be considered quality. The professional sports environment makes such data easy to obtain.

Few business areas are under greater scrutiny than professional sports. Sports competitions are governed by clearly defined rules, in addition, the results and statistics of the match are documented in great detail.
