Pleural effusions - cytological-energetic analysis versus traditional Light's criteria

Abstract

Comparison of diagnostic effectiveness of examination of pleural effusions according to Light's rules with their cytological-energetic analysis. The advantage of cytological-energy analysis over the analysis of pleural effusions according to Light's criteria is the characteristics of the local immune response with regard to its energy requirements.

Both methodologies complement each other appropriately. In any case, they do not contradict each other.
