Abstract
Bicentennial birthday jubilee of Karel Havlicek Borovsky (1821-1856). The founder of Czech journalism was interested in the beekeeping.
During his detention in Brixen he wrote regularly to his brother in Bohemia the letters with an advice how beekeeping. After homecoming Borovsky shortly kept the bees to his death.
