In the public sphere, the question of whether and why schools should use the educational potential of museums and why, on the contrary, museums should present their expositions to pupils and students and participate in their education is increasingly resonating. Do schools and museums have something to offer each other? The aim of this article is to draw attention to the potential of connecting formal and non-formal education and to outline the possibilities of changing the way of school education and the degree of participation of museums in this process in the field of historical sciences.
The article refers to examples of good practice in the West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen.
