Abstract

Students' satisfaction with their school can be perceived from different angles and time dimensions. It is influenced by a number of factors on the part of the student, teacher, environment and school.

The results of the questionnaire survey at secondary schools conducted by the Median agency in 2017, the results of the international survey PISA 2018, TIMSS 2015, and the current International Research Study on Health and Lifestyle of Children and Schoolchildren HBSC 2020 all universally show that Czech students are the least satisfied with their school across Europe. The aim of this study is to therefore verify these findings using a sample of seven secondary vocational schools and 3,052 students in the capital city of Prague and a questionnaire used to measure student satisfaction in Lower Saxony.

Four assumptions were formulated to determine the overall satisfaction of students with their school, with the quality of teaching, teachers and technical equipment. On the four-point Likert scale 1-4, student satisfaction ranged above the middle of the scale from 2.99 to 3.33.
