Abstract

The aim of the presented study is to compare the pre-primary sphere of education in all three countries, to compare identical and different aspects of education systems and to describe the tested phenomena of pre-primary education of individual countries based on agreement, similarity or difference in order to find inspiring elements. The data needed for the analysis will be taken from the OECD and Eurydice databases, the pre-primary education curricula of the countries concerned and the official materials published by the individual ministers.

Research design is desk research. The comparison showed that each surveyed country can in some respects serve as an inspiration for the others (eg Compulsory last preschool year in the Czech Republic, high financial subsidy from the budget to the pre-primary sphere in New Zealand and the existence of a separate document (Early education and childcare) connecting school and family in England).
