Czech prepositions in communication and in teaching Czech for foreigners

Abstract

Foreign students consider Czech prepositions to be particularly difficult for both linguistic and pedagogical reasons.The article comments upon and analyses select cases and factors in preposition selection in local, temporal, and causal prepositional phrases, as well as prepositional phrases of purpose and manner.
