Abstract

The article addresses the extent to which medieval music and literature appeals to contemporary audiences and also inspires the authors themselves, especially with regard to the book and album Septem Dies by Schola Gregoriana Pragensis, published in 2021. its vision on the idea that university and music naturally belonged and interconnected in the 14th and 15th centuries. The chosen format made it possible to capture the historical context as well as the sound form of the repertoire.

The book One Hundred Songs of Mary takes readers as far as the Iberian Peninsula. Matouš Jaluška was the first to translate Marian songs by Alfonso X.

Scholar, called love cantigas of ecclesiastical character, which are generally considered to be the oldest registered literary monuments in present-day Spain and Portugal, the so-called Galician-Portuguese poetry.
