Essayist František Listopad - an evening on the topic of "exile"

Abstract

In 1947, František Listopad left for Paris as a correspondent for the Young Front and later became the editor-in-chief of the French-language magazine Parellèle 50. When the communist coup took place in 1948, November decided to stay in France.

In 1958 he moved to Portugal. He expressed himself artistically in various forms in several languages, but he did not stop writing in Czech and being in exile remained an essential theme of his work.

Lectures on exile were given by teachers from the Faculty of Arts, Charles University: Míla Janišová, Michal Jareš, Vít Kazmar and Karolina Válová.
