Abstract
The article informs about the modifications of the curricular document of the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education (FEP BE) in 2021 in the educational area Man and Nature, which resulted in changes in the scope and content of the chemistry curriculum. It characterizes these changes and states how the negotiations on these changes took place at the level of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Czech Chemical Society, and how the revision of the FEP BE should take place in the next period.
