The study focuses on the psychometric properties of The Social Readjustment Rating Scale (1) and its adaptation on Czech popula-tion, while adding the evaluation of the stress level and coping with life events associated with this stress level. In the study authors focused on the differences between general and clinical population as the data were collected on participants from general population (N = 302), mostly composed of university students and clinical participants (N = 30) diagnosed with anxiety or mood disorders.
The goals of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the refined method, assess the relationship towards the overall mental health, social support and psychopathology. Results of the statistical analysis pointed out good psychometric properties of the scale.
The data analyses further showed a positive significant relationship between SRRS and perceived health problems or psychopathology, while negative significant relationship was found between SRRS and social support. We presume the meaning of the method for measuring integrity as the wholeness of personality and ability to cope.
