Epilepsy is a common neurological disease with a relatively good prognosis. This article presents basic epidemiological facts, definitions and a brief overview of epilepsy etiologies.
The new seizure classification was issued a few years ago. The next section is devoted to the examination and seizure differential diagnosis.
The last part describes the management of therapy and patients monitoring.
