Abstract

ALPS (autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome) is an uncommon cause of splenomegaly in children and adolescence. Most cases of ALPS are caused by mutations in the FAS gene.

However, an early diagnosis of ALPS is solicited since early stage of this condition may have a favorable prognosis if appropriately treated.
