The participation of the Burgundian nobility in the campaigns against the Hussites is often mentioned but it has never been closely treated (except the article by A. Vantuch published in 1972).
Our contribution will focus on a few personal testimonies dispersed in the narrative sources, including in particular the chronicles of Jean de Wavrin and Jean Stavelot describing the crusade in 1421. Since they are very incomplete and inaccurate, these testimonies will be supplemented by the documentation on the other side, sources from Bohemia, in order to recompose the commitment of the crusaders from beyond the Rhine against the Hussite heresy.
