Epigenesis or evolutio? Epigenesis or Evolution? The Formation of the Living and the Theory of Procreation in the Early modern period

Abstract

The paper addressed the issue of the formation of a living organism in the early modern period, especially its pictorial representation. I focused on problem of pictorial representation of fetal development and sex differences in animals and humans.
