Abstract
How important was the personality of the recently deceased Jaromír Joo for the development of Czech circus and did his death herald the end of circuses as we traditionally perceive them, and what is the traditional circus as seen by Patrik Joo - Jaromír Joo's son? What is today's circus, how has it changed and how will it change? These were the main topics of the interview I conducted with Patrik Joo at the wintering ground of the Jo-Joo National Circus in Zbožíček, Nymburk.
