On selected issues of editorial processing of the unissued part of the edition "Reliquiae tabularum terrae"
Abstract
The article, based on a specific case from the memorial book of the České Budějovice scribe Jan Petřík from Benešov, points out selected problems of editorial processing of the Remains of the Land Records. In particular, he criticizes Josef Emler's preparatory material and proves that his excerpts can only be used as preparatory material, a partial and considerably incomplete record of burned records, not as a basis for the actual completion of the edition.
In general, attention is paid to the use of orthography and abbreviations in various preservations of the texts with evidence on the example. In addition, the paper deals with the renewal of records in the restored land records after the fire of 1541, which plays an important role in the České Budějovice case too.
