The life and work of Egon Erwin Kisch, "the raging reporter", master of literary reportage and a world traveler, is explored in the collective monograph by students from the Universities of Leipzig and Prague. The focus is on reportage volumes written in exile, Marktplatz der Sensationen (Sensation Fair) and Entdeckungen in Mexiko (Discoveries in Mexico).
Among other things, the stylistic characteristics of literary reportage and its humor, but also the representations of social milieus, as well as the constructions of home and aspects of interculturality are explored.
