Abstract
Max Brod was more than a friend of Franz Kafka, at the beginning of the 20th century he was also a respected author and critic. The research work of the students from the Universities of Leipzig and Prague is focused on the historical novel Tycho Brahe's Path to God.
In addition to reflections on genre, reception history, mythological and religious motifs as well as spatial design, contexts around concepts of "home" and "exile" in Tycho Brahe and Max Brod are examined.
