Seeing with Scripture - The Prague German Author Oskar Baum

Abstract

In this collective monograph, young scientists from Prague and Leipzig devoted themselves to the literary texts of the Prague writer and reviewer Oskar Baum. In addition to a comprehensive contextualization of the writer and his works, the two short stories "The Beloved" and "The Way of Blind Bruno" are in the focus of exploration.

In the monograph are individual interpretations with the emphasis of the aspects: Freedom and self-determination, but also studies of the narrative structure of the text.
