In order of most mentioned they are as follows: complaints about the teaching of PE at the basic school level, which results physically incapable children; safety problems, respectively finding the optimal balance between adventure and safety; evaluation problems, respectively grading physical education; the problem of too frequent competition participation, which causes standard school PE lessons to suffer and even more only a small selection of children compete; concerns about the inclusion of weaker individuals. Among the non-teaching themes the following five themes were also identified: too much and ever increasing bureaucracy; less support from administration generally, but specifically for teaching physical education; tense relationships between teachers; high share of PE hours which take place with less than 10 participants (up to 1/5); unsuitable space and equipment for teaching school physical education, which was mentioned in relation to teaching and apart from teaching.
