Abstrakt
The death of Jan Sokol, in February 2021, is an opportunity to revisit the life and work of this unclassifiable Czech intellectual, author of highly original works on rhythm, redemption, the meaning of freedom, and human rights. This reflection does not pretend to describe the very sinuous path of Jan Sokol's life, but to summarize his philosophical interests and to provide the outline of an intellectual portrait.
