Abstract
The article contains a detailed commentary on the provisions of Sections 3020 and 3021 of the Civil Code. The first part (commentary on § 3020) deals with the issue of similar use of the first, third and fourth parts of the Civil Code on marriage and on the rights and duties of spouses to the issue of registered partnership and the rights and duties of registered partners.
The second part (commentary on § 3021) deals with the issue of extending the provisions for protection against domestic violence also to the cohabitation of persons other than spouses.
